What a great week! All the cabinets are in except for some trim, soffit, and valances. Kitchen:

The kitchen cabinets are looking totally awesome!


All three baths are about ready for tile.

Wednesday 20090729

The tile crew worked some more on the shower prep.

The plumber came back to enlarge the laundry drain to accommodate the pan.

And, the Duroc was installed around the jacuzzi tub.

The interior trim and doors were delivered today, but the interior trim carpenter wants to wait until Monday to start to avoid "too many cooks!"

Barbara is really proud of her cabinets!

Sorry for the lack of posts since last week, but not much has been done other than prepping the two shower floors and walls for tile. However, the cabinets were delivered from the warehouse today and they are beautiful. They are white painted maple in the kitchen and baths 2&3, but natural maple in the master bath. We went to the granite fabricator's plant today to "verify" the two slabs of verde peacock that will be used for the kitchen and bath 2.

These are the ones for the master bath.

OK! First coats of wall colors are up in the kitchen and dining room,...

Mike and RJ installed the flashing around the "garage" ceiling to prevent wicking of water onto the plywood.

Tuesday 20090721

The hardwood was completed today. All that was left was some of the girls room, some of the master bedroom, and the sitting room.

Mike, Wally, and RJ completed repairs to the front steps and then hung the HardieShakes on the side walls of the master deck.

Monday 20090720

The hardwood installers came back after lunch to day and finished up the second floor hall, almost all the master bedroom, and layed out most of the girls' bedroom (bedroom 3) but it appears they are a couple of bundles of wood short.

Mike, Wally, and RJ finished the repairs to the front step railing.

Saturday 20090718

The hardwood floor installers came back on Saturday and began laying the oak upstairs. Her is Barbara's sewing room and our master closet (one room).

The floor installers completed all of the downstairs hardwood and sanded some of it.

We continue to thank God for our beautiful view.
