Repair/adjustment of the fascia and trim has begun, but so far there does not seem to be much improvement other than getting rid of the notched intersection at the apex. Only about 2 sq ft of shake panels left to install on the west main gable.

Another good day! More siding and trim flashing as well as some spiffy little trim boxes for utility lines, etc.

Another great day! More siding, both shakes and laps went on today. Much of the lap siding on three sides is on.
The collar forms have been filled with gravel, a new soil load bearing capacity test was done, the rebar has been reinstalled, and the inspection is ordered for tomorrow. Hope we can get them poured before any more rain comes!

Finally, we are getting to a point that some more progress is being made. The windows have been trimmed and one of the doors has been re-installed. The HardieShake siding and the HardiePlank siding has begun to be installed. There are still some trim repairs that need to be made, but these will get done soon. I think there are some parts for the doors that are still on order.

Almost Back on Track
Sorry for the lack of posts over the last few weeks, but we had some problems with how some of the work had been done thus far. The contractor has been diligent in listening to our requests and having the sub re-do a great deal of deck framing, sheathing, and flashing to provide protection against water intrusion to the non-treated LVL girders around the base of the house. We are almost caught back up with this work, but there are also some corrections to the shingle trim boards, and possibly the fascia, that need to be made.
The HVAC rough-in is complete. The plumbing rough-in is almost complete and we have done the electrical walk-through, but he has not started to do the rough-in yet. The shingles are essentially on, but there are a few adjustments to be made and the drip edge has not been installed.
We probably are about a month behind schedule now, but we would rather be behind than to have rot problems from water intrusion down the road. Not really much to show right now with photos, but we will resume photo posts as the electrical rough-in progresses.

Construction Day 048
April 3 the crew was able to get back to work after the rains. Doors were removed earlier in the week to accommodate pan flashing. Most of the other flashing is about complete as well as most of the shingles.
