Monday 20090831

Not bad for a rainy day:

• One of the HVAC outside units was installed along with several vents
• The cooktop hood was installed
• Barbara and I put the pantry tub sink together (Sunday afternoon)
• All the registers and return vent grills were installed
• Both thermostats were installed
• The painters filled most of the finishing nail holes in the interior trim

Thursday 20090827

Interior trim is done for now:

• Front door from old house is now the pantry door
• Stairs and rails are in
• All chair rails are in
• The equipment boxes are installed on either side of the fireplace

Wednesday 20090826

Leaving for Morehead City in a few minutes for the Coastal Resources Commission meeting so I went by the house a little early. We are getting real close now.

• Last gable bracket is up
• Mirrors in bath #2 are up
• Chair rail in dining room and vestibule is up
• Crown molding around top of appliance cabinets is up
• All the wainscoting in bath #3 is up

Tuesday 20090825

Pretty good work done today.

• upstairs stairwell hand rail completed
• TV "box" set
• Linen closet "box" set
• Newel at bottom of steps set (incorrectly with regard to how we were told)
• Barbara and I tried the mirrors out for the master and #3 baths
• Atlantic glass came and measured for the downstairs bath #2 mirrors today
• Mantle was built today

Monday 20090824

It's been a couple of days since we were able to get photos and post, but lots has been done.

• all the tile work is finished, including the fireplace surround
• the stair treads and risers are in
• the hand rail along the stairwell upstairs is in
• we might change the master bath paint color to a brown
• the wainscoting is finished in bath #3
• almost all the exterior trim is finished
