New Position

Well, I guess I have done it again; stepped into a fire ant hill. (I hope not.) Tomorrow, I will become the Wilmington District Manager for the NC Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Division of Coastal Management. I will be supervising the CAMA (Coastal Area Management Act) permitting and enforcement for Brunswick, New Hanover, Pender and part of Onslow counties. I am really looking forward to the challenges of the position and, of course, the promotion in state government!

Great Birthday gift!

My birthday gift from Skip and Barbara was a fishing trip with Marker 39 Charters. Capt. Bobby White really put us on the reds.

Easter in WInston-Salem

We are headed to Winston this afternoon with our two granddaughters to perform the annual tradition of cleaning my parents graves and placing Easter flowers on them for the Moravian Sunrise Service. I'll try to place some photos on this site when we return. --Steve
